The $100 safety shoe reimbursement will be added to your normal check not in a separate check . The reimbursement is not taxed, is on a separate line identified, and is not included in any blend for blended rate. The plan is to go live with this for all shoe reimbursement requests received on 11/4 and beyond. Please look under Payroll updates for a sample of this.
I've added a new section to the website. Please look at Quarterly Updates. These will be Quarterly Updates to help share information on what projects are being worked on or to be scheduled. This section will be updated when the Alburtis Management team shares the information with our Union.
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the new payroll system, Workday.
While the issues with Workday have been drastically reduced, we are still addressing a few remaining items. As of now, the grievance filed is still in the second step of the grievance procedure and is under review. We remain committed to resolving any concerns that have arisen.
One of the key challenges we've encountered involves training for salaried employees. Several gaps were identified, and as a result, extensive retraining efforts have been undertaken to ensure that all employees are fully equipped to navigate the system effectively. We are confident that these measures will continue to improve the overall functionality of the system.
Please continue to monitor the Union website and Bulletin Boards at the plant for new information.
