Dear Union Members,

 The $100 safety shoe reimbursement will be added to your normal check not in a separate check .  The reimbursement is not taxed, is on a separate line identified, and is not included in any blend for blended rate.  The plan is to go live with this for all shoe reimbursement requests received on 11/4 and beyond.  Please look under Payroll updates for a sample of this.

I've added a new section to the website.  Please look at Quarterly Updates.  These will be Quarterly Updates to help share information on what projects are being worked on or to be scheduled.

I was informed by the Company that a recent payroll audit found uncashed payroll checks for our facility members.  The Company is planning to start reaching out to those employees.  There will be a form to be fill out and signed by the employee so a new check can be issued. 

The issues with the new payroll system Work Day are still ongoing.  Please make sure you are checking everything on your pay stub - hours, deductions, rate of pay, shift premium, etc.  The most recent issue was with Union Dues.  Please see the Payroll Update section of the website for information.  The errors that are happening now are not nearly as bad as the beginning of last year.  A grievance has been filed and is currently in the second step of the grievance procedure.  A lot of issues have been resolved with more issues being found.  We just settled the Union Dues issue and once we feel that all issues have been resolved we'll work on a finalized settlement.  The current issue for overtime pay is being worked on.  A meeting is schedule to discuss Work Day Payroll system to hopefully get more answers on eliminating the issues we are having.  Some of the issues that have been found are training issues for salaried employees. They aren't  logging or changing the proper information in the system.
